The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) actively recruits Interns throughout the year from colleges and universities. The ETA Intern Program is designed to offer undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain professional experience within the Federal Government while, in some situations, offering students the opportunity to obtain academic credit. The student Internship Program has the potential of developing into future permanent career positions within the Department of Labor.
THE STUDENT
Students may perform work that is directly related to their academic field or in an area of study in which they have an interest. (The student must have permission from their institution before participating in this program if working in a field directly related to his/her academic field of studies.) Students participating in this program will gain:
  1. Career-related knowledge and experience,
  2. Knowledge of the Employment and Training Administration,
  3. Hands-on training,
  4. Exposure to new and emerging work trends and professions,
  5. Opportunity to explore new careers during academic studies, and
  6. Academic credit (from most institutions).
ETA ACCEPTS STUDENT INTERNS FOR THE FALL, SPRING, AND SUMMER SEMESTERS.
