SAVE THE DATE!!! Labor Scholars Retreat 2010

 The Dolores Huerta Labor Institute is holding its second Labor Scholars Retreat on Saturday March 6, 2010.  Special guests include Dolores Huerta, Bill Fletcher, Jr., Nelson Licthenstein and others.  Invited faculty will participate in special workshops and breakout sessions to get collaborate and learn new strategies for teaching labor studies.

This year's Retreat will be held at LA Valley College in the Fireside Room in Campus Center from 9am to 5pm.

Come join faculty and students at LA Southwest College in celebrating Cesar Chavez.  One of the featured speakers will be Joaquin Calderon, a project coordinator at the UCLA Labor Center and an experienced labor organizer.  Joaquin will talk about community activism and organizing on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 1-2pm at the Cox Library Art Gallery
